Can anyone tell me how I can tighten up my front drivers side fog light?

I noticed when washing it that the whole light is slightly loose, but cannot see how to tighted the light assembly up.

It a late MK1 (1999) zetec.

Thanks.

Sorry not been here been out the country for a few weeks so no access to my tech info :(

so here goes................

unclip the outer trim cover on the fog light, under there you should see several fixing screws? (3) tighten these up, replace trim cover and go back inside to wash your hands and stick the kettle on :(

you happy now? :(

person number 41 to read and reply to your post :(

oops posted how to om a Mk2

MK1..... IIRC they are held in place by self tappers and push on spring clips! you should be able to get access to the rear of the lights to see these fixing but my need to remove the bumper in order to gain good acess to them in order to tighten then up?

Just as most don't know how to remove the front bumper :(....its not a common thing to do!

Its also the kind of thing thats obvious when you look.....which sooner or later you're going to have to!

IIRC  on MK1's the fog light clips into the bumper on plastic clips. The male tangs are moulded onto the bumper itself and mate with the fog light female bits. When the light got bashed on mine, the two lower tangs broke clean off and the light became loose....The way I fixed it was to apply DIY techniques involving araldite, self tapping screws, chewing gum, elastic bands etc. ..... the alternative is to buy and fit a new bumper? :(
